Update 8-29-20
Eric from Keith McMillen Instruments has kindly provided extra info on making the sequencer run correctly:
"If you're trying to get this up and running on a fresh install of PD, you will need to add the following externals with the HELP -> FIND EXTERNALS utility:
* FlatGui
* Cyclone
* Ekext
Once these are installed, the sequencer runs beautifully."
This is my first large project using Pure Data and its kinda messy, but it seems to work fine. The download is located at the bottom of this screen.
Rhythmboy requires a custom QuNeo preset and the free Pure Data programming package to be installed.
A video demonstrating its functionality while controlling the drum channel of a Roland MT-32 module:
Load the QuNeo preset file onto your QuNeo using the editor software provided by KMI.
Make sure your QuNeo and any other MIDI devices you plan to use are plugged in.
Start Pure Data.
Set your QuNeo as MIDI INPUT and OUTPUT device 1.
To use with hardware, set your MIDI interface device as MIDI OUTPUT 2.
To use with software, set your virtual MIDI device (e.g. IAC in Mac OSx, Midi-Yoke in Windows, or JACK in Linux) as
MIDI OUTPUT 2 in Pure Data, and as a MIDI INPUT in your DAW.
The output channel for MIDI data can be adjusted in Pure Data.
